HERE'S WHAT REALLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU PEE IN THE SHOWER

Seriously, this question was asked to Google so many times: is it OK to pee in the shower? There are dedicated forums as well as many informative articles, and lately, many indicate that peeing in the shower is the environmentally-conscious option. There’s even a budding  ‘Pee in the shower, Save water’ movement.

In fact, according to a survey from Angie’s List(admittedly not so scientific), nearly 80% of adults admitted to peeing in the shower.

Peeing in the shower is totally cool as long as there aren’t any cuts or open wounds on your skin. Theoretically, harmful bacteria from your pee could get into any open skin on an area like your legs and cause an infection, Gary Goldenberg, M.D., assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, told Self Magazine

Many articles claim that peeing in the shower leads to a better sex life for women. And peeing standing up engages pelvic muscles in an unusual way and tightens pelvic floor.

At KLEAN, we’re all about you enjoying your showers and there’s zero judgment here. Just make sure to properly cleanse afterward with soap and water. Your pee is not sterile. It contains bladder microbiome and potentially other bacteria.
