Does Skin Filter fit your tap?
Skin Filter fits standard, single-lever bathroom taps, with a round nozzle. You must have enough space to install it with at least 5.5cm clearance from your sink basin, and 9cm clearance from the tap.

Installing your Skin Filter
- Remove your tap nozzle. If standard (external), twist clockwise to remove (use a wrench or pliers if stuck). If hidden (internal), rotate clockwise with the included removal tool
- Install the adaptor that fits your tap, using the adaptor wrench to tighten
- Attach your Skin Filter to the adaptor, pushing until you hear a ‘click’
- Run water through Skin Filter for 1 minute
- Download the app to connect (iOS) and follow the in-app setup prompts

Different substances in water call for different filtration media. Skin Filter combines three. KleanShield™ helps inhibit mineral scale and targets metals, while Activated Carbon Fibre reduces free chlorine.
KleanShield™ Filtration for scale
What it does: Helps inhibit limescale formation to reduce mineral buildup on skin.
How it works: A slow-release mineral bead releases a calcium-based scale inhibitor that adsorbs microscopic crystal seeds as they form, distorting their growth so minerals are encapsulated to minimise deposits of scale on skin. In testing, the filter achieved 92.51% scale inhibition¹ when new, and a 62% reduction at 2000 litres.
KleanShield™ Filtration for metals
What it does: Helps capture lead and metals that inflame a compromised skin barrier.
How it works: A crystalline titanium-based media, distributed as a fine powder throughout the carbon fibre, captures lead ions from the water through ion exchange, releasing harmless sodium ions in their place. In testing, lead was reduced by 98%² when new, and a 54% reduction at 1000 litres.
Activated Carbon Fibre to target chlorine
What it does: Reduces free chlorine that affects barrier function and irritates the skin.
How it works: As water passes through, free chlorine (hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite) react with the carbon surface and are reduced into harmless chloride ions. In laboratory testing, it reduced free chlorine by 98%³ when new and achieved above 91% reduction at every measured point through 2,000 litres.

Skin Filter features a secondary filtered microbubble water mode. Using the Venturi principle, it infuses water with billions of microscopic bubbles, some up to 80 times smaller than the width of a human hair. At that scale, the bubbles significantly increase the water’s surface area and contact with skin, helping to loosen sebum, SPF, makeup and daily buildup so they rinse away more thoroughly.
