This Refill Cartridge fits the Hello Klean Skin Filter, giving you better water with every rinse. Just swap it out at least every 2 months, depending on water usage.
This product comes with two refill cartridges, it does not come with the Skin Filter body.

KleanShield™ Filtration for scale
What it does: Helps inhibit limescale formation to reduce mineral buildup on skin.
How it works: A slow-release mineral bead releases a calcium-based scale inhibitor that adsorbs microscopic crystal seeds as they form, distorting their growth so minerals are encapsulated to minimise deposits of scale on skin. In testing, the filter achieved 92.51% scale inhibition¹ when new, and a 62% reduction at 2000 litres.
KleanShield™ Filtration for metals
What it does: Helps capture lead and metals that inflame a compromised skin barrier.
How it works: A crystalline titanium-based media, distributed as a fine powder throughout the carbon fibre, captures lead ions from the water through ion exchange, releasing harmless sodium ions in their place. In testing, lead was reduced by 98%² when new, and a 54% reduction at 1000 litres.
Activated Carbon Fibre to target chlorine
What it does: Reduces free chlorine that affects barrier function and irritates the skin.
How it works: As water passes through, free chlorine (hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite) react with the carbon surface and are reduced into harmless chloride ions. In laboratory testing, it reduced free chlorine by 98%³ when new and achieved above 91% reduction at every measured point through 2,000 litres.
¹ Achieved 92.51% scale inhibition when new, measuring 65% at 400 litres and 62.5% at both 1,200 and 2,000 litres.
² Tested using lead-spiked water at 150 ± 30 µg/L (over 12 times the UK drinking-water standard of 10 µg/L) across 1,000 litres. Lead reduction measured 98.58% when new and measured 86.96% at 750 litres and 54.59% at 1,000 litres. Results may vary depending on lead concentration, water chemistry, flow rate and usage.
³ Independently tested for free chlorine reduction by an SGS Laboratory. The filter reduced free chlorine by 98.57% when new, with a 92% reduction recorded at 2,000 litres.
The box is fully recyclable, while the Skin Filter case is designed to be refillable for long-term use.
